French bread pizza

Ingredients 

  • 1 soft loaf of french/Italian bread, (split lengthwise)
  • 1 garlic clove, (smashed)
  • 1/2 cup of store bought tomato salsa/sauce 
  • 1 cup coarsely grated mozzarella (113.4 g)
  • Topping of your choice
  • 2 tbs of freshly chopped basil. 

Method

  1. Position rack at top third of oven around 200/210oc / gas mark 7. Bake bread for around 5 mins, take out and rub cut sides with the garlic. 
  2. Spread tomato salsa/sauce over cut side of bread. Top with mozzarella, and the topping of your choice. 
  3. Bake until cheese melts, for around 10-13 mins. Top with Basil.
